Ariel is currently a Principal I at Cabay National High School. He obtained an Outstanding Office Performance Commitment Review Form (OPCRF) rating for the two consecutive years from SY. 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. Recently, he received recognition as the Outstanding School Head for Supreme Student Government Program, GAWAD ALAB 2022 initiated by the Schools Division of Quezon Province on August 15, 2022. He also received a Tiaong District II Certificate of Merit Awarded by the Public Schools District Supervisor for his invaluable effort in building partnership with the Rotary Club of Tiaong and Rotary International South Korea who provided the Technical Vocational Equipment such as SMAW Packages, 41 units of Computers and Tables, 2 units of Air-conditioned and Complete Speech Laboratory Equipment with the total worth of project amounting to 38,000 US Dollars or 1.8 million pesos.
During his term, Cabay National High School was awarded as First Place in the Search for Best Brigada Eskwela Implementer for three consecutive years for District and Congressional Level from 2019 to 2021 while First Runner-Up in the Division Level also for three consecutive years and eyeing for the Division Champion this current year 2022. During the first year launching of Brigada Pagbasa last 2021, Cabay National High reaped First Place for District and Congressional Level while first runner-up at the Division Level. The Southside Integrated School Inc., a Private TESDA School in the municipality, awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to Mr. Del Mundo for the support and commitment for the Joint Delivery Voucher Program Partnership to their institution for the betterment of the TVL-HE Grade 12 learners.
The Division of Quezon initiated the 2N-AIP (New Normal Appropriate Instructional Practices) Best Implementing School last SY 2020-2021. Cabay National High School awarded as the Third Best Implementing School in the said program in Tiaong District II and one of the District Representative in the Division Level. The school also participated in the Vlog Making Contest for Sustainable Vegetable Production at Home “Katutubong Gulay Laban sa Pandemya” held last October 8, 2020 up to April 8 2021 initiated by the Provincial Agriculture Office. The school was chosen as a Municipal Winner on the said category.
The difficulty in the delivery of quality education amidst pandemic was successfully bridged through creativity and innovativeness of the school head. Thus, zero non-reader and non-numerate was obtained. This was made possible through school Projects such as Activities and Programs (PAP) entitled Project I CARE or Integrating Comprehension Activities for Reading Enhancement with Readtrip: Cabayan Drive to Read as our main strategy to eliminate the problem in Reading both English and Filipino. While Project ML- Mathematics Learners in action was implemented to address Numeracy deficiency of learners. Indeed, Project WOW-Workshop On Wheels also made huge contribution for the attainment of competencies in Senior High School where all equipment, tools and materials needed for the TVL-HE strand was brought to different learning sitio’s that made education accessible to all. Furthermore, installation of television in the learning sitio was made part of Project SSS- Sitio Satellite Station for learning.
