Inspirational Success Story:

A LEADER IN FARMING BUSINESS

Community is part of his vision; he has been involved with community-based programs by becoming a resource speaker to some seminars for the neighborhood farmers free of charge. More importantly, he helped promote livelihood by creating jobs or employment for the nonworking mothers in the farm’s neighborhood whether as regular or on-call farm workers.

Through the jobs he catered in the community, some families have now a more stable source of income. At the same time, it helps them to refrain from vices since their time will be more productive. He even taught them the right attitude when it comes to work by providing character formation counseling. He has been an active partner of schools both in private and public schools. Even for free or through a simple invitation, he spent time addressing the students of various schools in the city by discussing several topics about “agriculture and entrepreneurship”, “benefits of integrated farming in the environment”, “nutrition”, “natural/organic farming” and a lot more. He also accepts OJTs in the farm, where he leads young minds to become open to the benefits farming can do for their future and for our environment. This helps them to be inspired and become “agri-prenuers” in our country. He feels utmost blessed that through farming, he can touch the lives of the people he collaborated with.

Because of his active community involvement he has become the recipient of the most prestigious award in his city, “The Outstanding San Pableno of 2018”, chosen out of the morethan 300,000 residents in San Pablo. This award is bestowed upon the remarkable contribution Joel has given in the City of San Pablo.

Not to mention that his works and innovativeness have been recognized from all over the Philippines and abroad by being featured by a lot of TV networks (GMA, ABS-CBN, TV5, GTV) as well as by numerous articles from local and international newspapers and magazines.
