Dr. Vijay is an unwavering supporter of the Institute’s internship and skilled trades programs. He hosted, and attended a large number of academic and industry-related events. He makes an effort to attend these events, actively participates in them whenever possible, and encourages faculty and staff to attend training sessions hosted by reputable organizations and the industry. He has the ability to build strong relationships with the institution’s alumni in order to strengthen ties with the industry. Dr. Vijay genuinely embodies the Institute’s basic values and seeks to get the best result for all parties. He consistently participates in actively contributing to the achievement of every student he encounters. He has a strong passion for research and has been quite successful in inspiring his academics to publish their findings and evaluate those of their international peers. He is an example of humanity. He always finds the positive side of individuals. As Principal and Professor, Dr. Vijay has demonstrated his genial demeanor, astute perception, and inspiring vision. Respect and admiration have been shown for him by teaching faculty, staff, students, and the community. Given the magnitude of the difficulties Dr. Vijay (who works at a state engineering institute in India that is privately funded) has, he has made it his goal to interact with the neighborhood and surrounding area. Dr. Vijay’s candidacy for the ILA in Leadership (For Positional Leader in Academics and Industry) has my utmost support and pride.

During the tenure of Vijay as Principal of the Institute he has wholeheartedly motivated his colleagues to be trained by Industry in order that the teaching – learning process at the Institute be innovative. This motivation has had an impact that more than 80 percent of the faculty at the Institute today is trained by industry and students are imparted more practical experiences connecting theory to actual practice. During these endeavors he has taken keen interest to look into matters like the type of industry faculty would be undergoing training, sanctioning their travel allowance, looking into their expenditure for lodging and boarding so that faculty could attend these trainings without any hassles. The impact of faculty attending these sessions is visible today with many innovative projects taken up at the institution in Science and technology, students taking industry problems and finding solutions to them, growth of student startups guided by faculty, faculty registering patents, increased research and publications, etc.

Dr. Vijay has always been an inspiration to the faculty, Staff and Students constantly motivating them to do excellent work in Teaching – Learning as per the needs of time. His Vision and Planned Mission for the Institution has helped implementation of Collaborated contacts with Industry and academia for strengthening the Institution. Whether it be a visit to industry or publication of research or establishment of a State of Art laboratory it has always been encouraged by him. The culture to make students and faculty to work on problems required by society is encouraged by Vijay this has resulted in all departments indulging in consultancy and the community in Solapur benefitting from these activities. His encouragement to have a sports event at district level has made it happen. The institution has a very high retention ratio and this is because of the excellent decentralization and clean work culture. Vijay has himself been awarded so many times for his research and work bringing to heights the level of the Organization.
