Dr. Charesma Grace K. Her work spans several critical fields, including forensic science, criminology, education, mental health awareness, and youth advocacy.
Dr. Charesma Grace K. Lud-ayen serves as the Regional Secretary for the Professional Criminologist Association of the Philippines – Cordillera, where she leads initiatives to professionalize criminology and enhance community support through donations and educational programs. As Vice-Chairperson of the Council of Criminal Justice Educators – Cordillera, she promotes curriculum development and research. Additionally, she contributes to various organizations focused on criminology and public safety while spearheading projects like the FREE Criminologist Licensure Examination Review Program and mental health initiatives. Her extensive involvement has garnered her recognition for excellence in criminology, innovation, and community service, making her a pivotal figure in the field.
Dr. Charesma Grace K. Lud-ayen has made a profound contribution to the academic and professional development of criminology graduates through her visionary project, “Preparing Achievers Thru Responsive, Inclusive, and Outcome-based Tutorial Sessions: The University of Baguio Criminology Center of Excellence Project.” This initiative, also known as the FREE Criminologist Licensure Examination Review Program, is now in its 5th season. It continues to inspire and elevate students by offering a comprehensive and inclusive review program to foster academic excellence and boost licensure exam success rates. The program integrates flexible and adaptive learning techniques to cater to students’ varying needs, providing individualized support to ensure their comprehension and mastery of criminology subjects. The project prioritizes accessibility, ensuring no student is left behind by offering free review sessions. This inclusivity opens the doors of opportunity to financially disadvantaged students who would otherwise face challenges in preparing for the board exams. The program emphasizes measurable outcomes, with a clear focus on passing the Criminologist Licensure Examination and preparing graduates to excel in the field of criminology. By offering in-depth reviews of core criminology subjects, mock exams, and intensive tutorials, the program has significantly improved the pass rates of UB graduates in the Criminologist Licensure Examination. Under Dr. Lud-ayen’s leadership, the program offers more than just academic tutoring. It provides mentorship, confidence-building strategies, and personalized coaching to ensure students are fully prepared for the challenges of the licensure exam and their future careers.
