What is VRC?

Virtual Research Camp (VRC) is a social responsibility initiative of the Institute of Industry and Academic Research Incorporated to empower high school and undergraduate students through guided mentoring on research and research writing. It is a platform that brings together high school and undergraduate students with research experts in a dynamic, collaborative learning environment.

REGISTRATION

All student participants need to pre-register through the form. Participants should identify and prioritize a specific area or topic in research writing to attend. Confirmed participants will receive an email confirmation and will be automatically registered for the session.

VIRTUAL BOOT CAMP

During the virtual boot camp, sessions are divided into different Zoom breakout rooms, each focusing on a specific topic. Each room will feature one to three speakers who will deliver short talks. After the talks, participants can interact by asking focused questions related to the topic.

CERTIFICATIONS

This virtual event is certified by The CPD Certification Service of United Kingdom. Hence, it conforms to the standards for the delivery of continuing professional education. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance as well as a CPD certificate.

Preparation

Participants should prepare focused questions based on the topic. If they are currently writing their thesis, they are encouraged to prepare questions related to the areas they are working on and areas where they need mentoring.
