Beyond Campus Walls: OASIS Leadership, Service, and Community Impact

The Office Administration Students Integrated Society (OASIS) continuously upholds its commitment to service, leadership, and social responsibility through active participation in various community outreach and humanitarian initiatives. Extending its efforts beyond the university, the organization took part in relief operations aimed at supporting families affected by natural disasters across different parts of the Philippines in 2025.

As communities faced the challenges brought about by successive typhoons and earthquakes, OASIS officers and volunteers responded by participating in relief repacking activities organized in partnership with community stakeholders. Through these initiatives, the organization assisted in the preparation of essential relief goods, including rice, canned goods, and other basic necessities, helping ensure that assistance could be efficiently delivered to affected families.

On October 3, 2025, OASIS officers, under the leadership of President Eloisa Maye E. Carpio and with the support of Co-Adviser Mr. Marco Miguel V. De Villa, joined a large-scale relief repacking operation in collaboration with CARD Indogrosir Inc. The activity provided members with an opportunity to contribute directly to disaster response efforts while strengthening their sense of volunteerism and community involvement.

The organization’s commitment to service continued on November 18, 2025, when OASIS once again partnered with CARD Indogrosir Inc. in another relief repacking initiative for communities affected by Typhoons Tino and Uwan in Cagayan, Isabela, and Nueva Vizcaya.

Through the collective efforts of student volunteers, the organization contributed to the preparation of relief packages intended to support families during a time of need. Beyond providing assistance, these activities served as valuable learning experiences for OASIS members. Participation in humanitarian efforts enabled students to develop leadership skills, strengthen teamwork, and cultivate a deeper understanding of civic responsibility. The initiatives reinforced the importance of compassion, cooperation, and active citizenship, demonstrating how student organizations can contribute meaningfully to community development.

The involvement of OASIS in these relief operations reflects the organization’s dedication to creating a positive impact beyond the academic environment. By engaging in community based service initiatives and fostering partnerships with external organizations, OASIS continues to promote the values of servant leadership, volunteerism, and social responsibility.

Extension Training Program on “A Seminar/Training onHome-Based Business Ideas and Liquid Dishwashing Production”

The 4th Year Bachelor of Science in Office Administration students, in collaboration with the Office Administration Students Integrated Society (OASIS), conducted an extension training program titled “A Seminar/Training on Home-Based Business Ideas and Liquid Dishwashing Production.” The activity was held on November 14, 2025, at Barangay VI-D, San Pablo City, Laguna, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon. The program aimed to equip community members with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in starting home-based livelihood projects that are both affordable and sustainable.

The extension program supports two key Sustainable Development Goals. SDG 1: No Poverty is addressed by providing the community with simple and accessible livelihood ideas that can help increase household income, such as dishwashing liquid production and basic business concepts. Meanwhile, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth is reflected in the program’s promotion of entrepreneurship and practical skills development, encouraging residents to engage in productive and sustainable economic activities through small-scale and home-based enterprises.

OASIS Student Welfare Initiative: Donation of Electric Fans

Recognizing the importance of a comfortable and conducive learning environment, the Office Administration Students Integrated Society (OASIS) successfully implemented the Student Welfare Initiative through the donation of ten (10) electric fans for BSOA classrooms. The project was undertaken to help improve the learning environment of students by providing additional ventilation and comfort within the classrooms. By addressing a practical need of the student community, the initiative contributed to creating a more conducive atmosphere for learning and academic engagement. This project also supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, which promotes inclusive and effective learning environments for all learners.

OASIS Care Caravan: Opportunities for Access to Sustainable and Inclusive Services

On March 13, 2026, the Office Administration Students Integrated Society (OASIS) successfully conducted the OASIS Care Caravan: Opportunities for Access to Sustainable and Inclusive Services,” from 7:00 AM to 12:00 NN at Sta. Catalina Elementary School Covered Court, Brgy. Sta. Catalina, San Pablo City, Laguna. The activity was aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4: Quality Education. The event was organized as part of OASIS’s continuing commitment to promote accessible healthcare services, raise awareness on wellness, and strengthen the spirit of volunteerism outside the academic community.

OASIS Medicine Donation at Brgy. Bagong Bayan, San Pablo City, Laguna

The Office Administration Students Integrated Society (OASIS) successfully conducted its Medicine Donation Drive for the residents of Barangay Bagong Bayan as part of its commitment to community service and social responsibility. Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3) and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), the activity aimed to provide accessible medicines to individuals and families in need while promoting health awareness, compassion, and the spirit of bayanihan within the community.

Through the collective efforts of OASIS officers, members, donors, and volunteers, various medicines were gathered and distributed to the beneficiaries. The initiative served as an opportunity for students to extend their assistance beyond the academic setting and actively participate in programs that create a positive social impact. It also highlighted the importance of addressing basic healthcare needs, especially for communities with limited access to medical resources.

OASIS EcoPath Project: Students for Environmental Development

On May 18, 2026, the Office Administration Students Integrated Society (OASIS) successfully implemented the EcoPath Project: Students for Environmental Development in Brgy. Kinabuhayan, Dolores, Quezon. Conducted in partnership with the Office of the Vice Governor and various community stakeholders, the program was designed to promote environmental awareness, encourage sustainable practices, and strengthen community engagement through meaningful environmental action. More than a one-day outreach activity, the initiative reflected OASIS’s commitment to developing socially responsible students while contributing to the longterm welfare of local communities.

Recognizing the growing environmental challenges faced by many communities, OASIS organized the EcoPath Project as a platform for education, collaboration, and direct environmental intervention. The activity brought together students, local government officials, environmental advocates, and community members under a shared mission of protecting natural resources and promoting sustainable development. Through this collaborative effort, participants gained a deeper understanding of environmental stewardship and the role individuals can play in creating positive environmental change.
