Kawa Wali is a renowned researcher with extensive experience in financial and management accounting, backed by over a decade of dedicated teaching and research at the Salahaddin University in Erbil. He has a strong academic foundation, having earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting and Finance from Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Building on this foundation, he completed his PhD in Accounting/Financial Accounting through a joint program between the University of Salahaddin and Erasmus University Rotterdam. His academic achievements were recognized by his promotion to Assistant Professor in 2024.
Kawa Wali’s scholarly interests cover a wide range of topics, including financial reporting, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), corporate governance, and risk management. Apart from his research, he is strongly committed to education, fostering a stimulating and supportive learning environment. Throughout his career at the University of Salahaddin, he has played a pivotal role in shaping future professionals in accounting and finance.
