Dr. Joefrelin is currently the Head of Section at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences – Shinas. Under his leadership, various initiatives were introduced and implemented for the development of the department in terms of student and departmental activities, contributed to university wide strategic accomplishments and successful international collaborations with other HEIs and organized various international conferences and acted in various capacities. He initiated the Microteaching teaching practice sessions to improve the teaching and learning process of the Business Department. This program enhances the teaching competencies of academic staff through peer feedback, constructive criticism and evaluation of teaching demonstration based on some predetermined criterion for student-centered learning practices. This project has been conceptualized based on the results of peer to peer evaluation and student’s evaluation, which requires due attention and to formulate corrective measures.

Moreover, he spearheaded Kampion, a Filipino community association in Oman, and implemented various high-impact community projects and programs in partnership with the Philippines embassy and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office. With his extraordinary and exemplary initiatives and accomplishments which radiates Filipinos’ ingenuity, creativeness and professionalism in carrying out above and beyond the duties and responsibilities, he stands out from other nationalities being an OFW.

He serves as a role model of being a visionary and a leader who possess various qualities and qualifications which can effectively directs the organization and can contribute towards various stakeholders by sharing his expertise and experiences. As such, he performs speaking engagements in various occasions both in the Philippines and abroad.
