In an environment wherein learning is the most priority, she is one of the pioneer instructors of her institution. Her untiring and unselfishness way of teaching in the field of education is the primary reason for this award. Her dedication and passion in teaching showed from her 38 years of service in the department of education and continued her teaching journey in this institution from 2018 up to present. Age is not the roadblock for her to perform her duties and responsibilities as the program head as well as an instructor. Innovative and modern methods of teaching were applied in her teaching that engage the students into more equipped knowledge performing the students-centered curriculum that we have at present. She possess a strong educational foundation, professional teaching credentials, ideal educator that inspire and produce individual as a new virtue of her.
Dr. Juliana was awarded an Exemplary Guro award for her expertise as well as her dedication in the field of teaching in education. This manifest how she performed her educational knowledge and practices to the students. Furthermore, this achievement of her remarked a huge challenge for her to continue to inspired individual to learn.
Teaching is the process of attending to people’s needs, experiences and feelings, and intervening so that they learn particular things, and go beyond the given opportunities for the learners. On the other hand, interventions commonly take the form of questioning, listening, giving information, explaining some phenomenon, demonstrating a skill or process, testing understanding and capacity, and facilitating learning activities. Dr. Juliana Varona posses these in her entire learning engagement.
Her potential to manage learning and impart knowledge not just to students and colleagues are evident that people in the organization and the community where she belong seek her as a model. Her active participation and untiring support for the academic community activities is a source of inspiration among others.
Furthermore, his involvement in inspiring the students to explore their engagement to learning and mentoring them into their special learning needs , nurturing young individuals to learn and listen the students feelings towards multiple challenges in teaching are significant to her as educators and these are reasons why people see her as a model in the community.
