Dr. Marivic Baliton Abinsay is an Administrative Officer at the Department of Education, at the same time a Professor in the Graduate School and collegiate handling management and business courses since 2010. She is also a Licensed Agriculturist. She worked in a local government for almost 20 years as an Agricultural Extension Worker in the Municipal Agriculture Office and was an Officer-In-Charge in the Municipal Environmental and Natural Resources Office.

She finished Doctor of Business Administration in 2018 at San Pablo Colleges and earned some units in BS Commerce, BS Elementary Education and BSEd also in this institution. She is a graduate of  Masters of Management-Development Management in October 2002 and BS Agriculture major in Agronomy in 1993 at the University of the Philippines at Los Baños.  She was a grantee of UP Presidential Scholarship during her graduate studies at UPLB.

Her research interests include agriculture, business, organization and management, governance, and the likes.

She is a recipient of AFC#6A Philippine Special Subsidy for a Research Paper presentation in Taipei, Taiwan on August 2022. She has joined several international research conferences for the past three years and have been awarded Best/Outstanding Paper.
