Dr. Masyitah is a senior lecturer in the School of Civil Engineering, UiTM Cawangan Pulau Pinang, Kampus Permatang Pauh, Malaysia. She holds a Ph.D. in Advanced Soil Engineering, Master of Engineering in Geotechnique and Bachelor of Civil Engineering. She adopted innovative and creative teaching methodology and assessment by using interactive online platform such as Kahoot, Classpoint and others. She also implements experiential and active learning in class. She is currently finishing Microsoft Innovative Educator Programs.

Aside from her creative teaching style, she is also a competitive and active researcher. She recently won the Silver Award in the International E-Content Development Competition 2021 (e-ConDev 2021) under category Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for Geotechnics course. She has been actively sharing her knowledge and expertise in the field through speakership in various colleges and universities. Due to her expertise and experience, she has been appointed as an external examiner and jury invention and innovation in competitions.
