Marolyn Faith P. Cacal is a dedicated student leader and youth advocate, whose journey is marked by perseverance, resilience, and compassion.  With a heart committed to genuine service, she is known for her passion for leadership and community involvement. She is experienced in overcoming obstacles in council-related duties and allegiant to the strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and teamwork through service and advocacy. From her earliest years in school, Marolyn showed an inclination toward leadership, a strong sense of responsibility, and an innate drive to selflessly serve others. She believes that true leadership is not about authority, but about humility, teamwork, and the courage to listen and act when possible. This drive has guided her through every role she has taken on, whether within her campus, her community, or the organizations she represents.

As the President of the Vanguards of Society HUMSS-ASSH Organization, she has become a voice for her strand, championing both academic excellence and holistic development. Under her leadership, the organization has not only focused on scholastic activities but also on advocacy and opportunities that empower students to grow as future professionals and responsible citizens. Her work as a HUMSS Representative for The Honors A+rium reflects her dedication to elevating the rigor and participation of the strand, ensuring that the voices of HUMSS students in the academe are heard, appreciated, and celebrated. She uses her platform to reveal the importance of Humanities and Social Sciences  in shaping future leaders, teachers, psychologists, advocates, changemakers,  and more individuals in the said field.

Expanding her reach beyond her university, Marolyn contributes her skills as an Associate in the Education and Writing Committee under the Office of Research in Development in the ASEAN Youth Advocates Network Philippines (AYAN PH). Here, she collaborates with other young advocates nationwide, engaging in writing, and educational initiatives that promote youth empowerment and collective action on pressing social issues. This role has given her a broader perspective on leadership, teaching her that service knows no borders and that the strength of advocacy lies in unity.

Behind all that, her story is not simply one of titles and positions. Behind each role lies a story of challenges overcome. She has faced moments of doubt, heavy workloads, and the constant pressure of balancing academics with leadership duties. Yet, she has always emerged stronger, proving her resilience and ability to adapt. For Marolyn, obstacles and mistakes are not roadblocks, they are stepping stones toward growth.

At her core, she is driven by the desire to inspire change. She believes in youth as the backbone of a better Philippines, and she strives to empower her fellow students to realize their potential as leaders and advocates. Her leadership journey now spans more than a decade of active involvement, from her formative years in school councils to her current positions in higher-level organizations. Her journey stands as an inspiration for fellow students and young leaders, proving that with perseverance, passion, and purpose, meaningful change can begin within schools, communities, and beyond.
