we reward researchers through
SMALL RESEARCH GRANT
As part of its social responsibility in building a community of scholars, the institute offers small research grant to a maximum of USD100 (P5000 to Philippine authors) including FREE publication to any of the institute's journals.
The main goal of small research grant is to encourage researchers to develop quality papers with empirical evidence and contribution to the society. It also promotes quality publications through recognizing and awarding authors with free journal publication and monetary rewards. The institute believes that quality papers need to be recognized and rewarded.
Submitted papers are evaluated based on: (1) scope and coverage; (2) empirical evidence; (3) format and structure; (4) publication quality; and (5) research methodology. The institute looks for papers that are highly-statistical and systematic in nature rather than purely descriptive and survey-type articles.
The research paper must be within the four (4) key areas: (1) education; (2) business and finance; (3) social sciences and (4) information technology. The grant accepts any topic within its scope and coverage. The submitted paper needs to have strong empirical evidence and make significant contribution to the field. It should have strong theoretical and/or methodological literature. The submission is an original article, not have been nor considered for publishing elsewhere. The author must obtain permission for any used copyrighted materials within the article. The grant only accepts articles in English.
- Members of the IIARI Board of Trustee and editorial team are not eligible for the grant.
- There are only two (2) grantees of $100 (P5000 for Philippine authors) each in a year.
- The areas of research are limited to the scope and coverage of the four (4) journals: IJEMDS, IJAIR, IRSSR and IJSTEM.
- Papers must not be written or conducted later than 3 years.
- The main author cannot submit more than one (1) paper in a year.
How to apply
The main author submits the extended abstract (download format) through the submission form. Do NOT submit the full paper yet. You will receive notification through email if the paper qualifies for the grant. Only shortlisted applicants submit the full paper. From the submitted full papers, two (2) grantees are selected in a year.
The author must ensure that the paper is properly formatted, grammar free and publication ready. Submissions not following the prescribed format and with similarity rate of more than 15% are automatically rejected.
Submissions through email are not accepted. Submit only in the prescribed form.
Selective Process
To protect the brand, the Institute imposes selective process. The Institute believes that grants can be given only to qualified and quality papers regardless of the status or qualifications of the authors. With its desire to uphold quality publishing, the Institute selects only deserving papers for the grant. However, some papers can be awarded with free publication without monetary grant following a thorough double-blind review.
No return service requirement
The Institute celebrates the success, achievement and contribution of researchers through this grant. Selected authors will not be required to provide return services to the Institute. The awarded monetary grant does not give the Institute any authority over the author/s except review and publication of the paper and posting to various platforms for marketing purposes.
