Dr. Nickie is an accomplished educator, researcher and business consultant. She earned her PhD in accounting at University of Southern Queensland, Australia. She has been an accounting lecturer for almost 20 years in both graduate and undergraduate programmes. She was also an accounting and financial reporting consultant to companies in Thailand.

She was a recipient of various research awards including Outstanding Research Award in the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand Conference in 2017 and Best Paper Award in the 4th International Conference on Production and Supply Chain Management in 2015, among others. She has authored more than 30 papers which were presented in various international conferences and published in international refereed journals. Her research works involve critical analysis of controversial accounting topics such as environmental performance, integrated reporting, environmental accounting and sustainability accounting that were applied in the publicly listed companies.

Accomplished at that, she had also work in various funded research projects in Australia where she learned every details of a research proposal. Having a vast experience in accounting research, she was appointed as the EIC by virtue of the IIARI Board Resolution No. 2, series of 2020.
