Dr. Elmer Falucho Callo is a licensed professional teacher, academic leader, and researcher with extensive experience in hospitality, tourism, and business education. He is currently the Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy at Columban College, Inc., in Olongapo City, where he oversees the development of academic programs, research initiatives, and institutional linkages that enhance student learning and faculty engagement.
Dr. Callo holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.), and completed postgraduate studies in International Hospitality and Tourism Management at the Lyceum of the Philippines University – Batangas. His academic credentials are complemented by a Professional Teacher License, issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and valid until July 18, 2027. With years of dedicated service in higher education, Dr. Callo has made significant contributions as an educator, researcher, and administrator. He has co-authored and supervised several scholarly works. His research focuses on hospitality and tourism management, service quality, curriculum relevance, and graduate employability.
He also serves as a Quality Assessment Team Member of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office III and has facilitated professional development seminars. An active member of professional organizations, including the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Educators of the Philippines (COHREP), Union of Filipino Tourism Educators, Inc. (UFTE), and United Tourism and Hospitality Professionals, Inc. (UTHPI), Dr. Callo continues to champion excellence in teaching, research, and community service. His leadership is guided by a vision to produce globally competitive graduates and to strengthen the link between academic learning and industry practice in business and hospitality education.
