Dr. Isagani Mirador Tano is an accomplished academic leader with extensive experience in the field of information technology education. He currently serves as the Dean of the College of Computer Studies and an Associate Professor I at Quezon City University. Dr. Tano holds two doctoral degrees: a Doctor in Information Technology (DIT) from AMA Computer University, completed as a scholar under the Quezon City Government’s Huwarang Mag-aaral ng Bayan Graduate School Scholarship Program, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Education (Ph.D.) with a major in Educational Leadership and Management from La Consolacion University Philippines.

Dr. Tano’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) degree, where he graduated cum laude from Laguna College of Business and Arts. He further enhanced his expertise with a Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) from Rizal Technological University and has earned 27 units in Master of Science in Computer Science from AMA University. He also pursued graduate studies in Information Technology at Adamson University.

With nearly 15 years of teaching experience, Dr. Tano is a Certified Trainer and an Accredited Competency Assessor for various technological and vocational courses recognized by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). He has held significant administrative roles, including serving as the OIC Director of the BSIT Department at Quezon City Polytechnic University.

Dr. Tano’s contributions to the academic community extend beyond teaching, as he has actively participated in research, with notable publications such as “LMS Content Evaluation System with Sentiment Analysis using Lexicon-Based Approach” and “Predicting Faculty Research Productivity using J48 Decision Tree Algorithm.” His commitment to professional development is evident through his participation in numerous seminars and workshops related to educational leadership, management, and information technology.

In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Tano has been recognized for his leadership and dedication, receiving accolades such as Outstanding Leader SY 2015-2016 at Quezon City Polytechnic University and Best Research Paper Presentation at the 2nd International Conference on Innovative Research in Engineering and Technology (ICIRET-22). He is also an active member of various professional organizations, including the Royal Institute of Information Technology and the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators Foundation.

Dr. Tano’s professional qualifications, coupled with his commitment to lifelong learning and excellence in education, make him a distinguished figure in the academic community, particularly in the field of information technology education.
