Individual membership

Our principles

Selective Membership

To protect the brand, the Institute imposes selective process. The Institute believes that fellow membership can be given only to qualified and willing individuals that can embody its principles and ideals. With its desire to form an academic community of life-long learners, the Institute recruits and selects only individuals that are passionate about research and education, foster truth and fairness, and encourage other fellows through right attitude and character.

Celebrate Success

The Institute celebrates the success, achievement and contribution of its fellows through the Silver Laurel and Golden Laurel Awards. The Institute fosters an environment without competition and everyone can grow and develop. The fellows are given every opportunity to excel through the various conferences and activities.

Types of individual membership

Individual membership is open to all industry and academic professionals, students and librarians who have passion for research and life-long learning. There are four types of membership available:

  • National fellow. Filipino academic and industry practitioners with completed at least Master’s degree or at least 3 years of administrative/ managerial position. (P1000 membership fee)
  • International Fellow. Academic and industry practitioners of other nationalities with at least Master’s degree or at least 3 years of administrative/ managerial position. ($20 membership fee)
  • Junior Fellow. High school or undergraduate students passionate about research, training and life-long learning. (Free membership)
  • Library Membership. Open to designated institutional librarians. (Free membership)

Benefits of individual membership

The members get an opportunity to meet and collaborate with experienced professionals in the field. They will get updates on the upcoming events and participate in the conference or training. All approved fellows get:

  • a certificate of membership valid for one year.
  • 20% discount in the publication, conference and training fees.
  • FREE participation as online listener in conferences and events.
  • opportunity to become committee member and/or speaker in conference or event.
  • opportunity for the Laurel Award.

New application

Fill out the form with your latest CV. Your application is sent directly to the Director for Membership & Affiliation for proper evaluation. Upon approval, you will be notified through email to pay the membership fee (if applicable). You will receive the e-certificate of membership upon receipt of payment. Your membership is valid for one (1) year from the date of issuance.

Renewal application

Active fellows (published research papers and books, attended conferences, registered in trainings and participated in most activities as committee member) can be awarded with FREE lifetime membership at the end of the year.

Non-active fellows can still renew their fellow membership for $20 (P1000). Signify your renewal intention through email to membership@iiari.org addressed to the Director for Membership & Affiliation.

Benefits of institutional membership

The institutional members get an opportunity to join in the various international activities of the Institute including International Benchmarking and International Student Internship Program (ISIP). They will get updates on the upcoming events and participate in the conference or training. Institutional members get:

  • a certificate of membership valid for one year.
  • opportunity to become partner in the international activities.
  • eligibility to join the international benchmarking program.
  • eligibility to join the International Student Internship Program (ISIP).

Become activity partners

The Institute invites any active institutional members to become official partners and collaborators in various international activities and events such as conference and competitions. Official institutional partners need to sign the Memorandum of Understanding.

Selective Membership

Our membership follows mutualism; we provide programs beneficial to the needs of the academic institutions. Hence, we select Institute that will benefit from our programs. With our aim to connect with the academic community worlwide, we believe that institutional partners need to be true to its committment to become active in research and education, and internationalization programs for the development of globallly competitive students.

Institutional Rewards

The Institute appreciates the contribution of its members through the Silver Award and Golden Award. The Institute fosters an environment that let academic institutions grow and develop. They are given every opportunity to participate in the internationalization programs.

1. New Application

The authorized institutional representative fill out the form. Your application is sent directly to the Director for Membership & Affiliation for proper evaluation. Upon approval, you will be notified through email to pay the institutional membership fee of $200 (P10,000 for Philippine Universities). You will receive the e-certificate of membership upon receipt of payment. Your membership is valid for one (1) year from the date of issuance.

2. Renewal application

Active institutions (academic and non-academic staff published research papers and books, attended conferences, registered in trainings, participated in international benchmarking and participated in ISIP) can renew for FREE for the next two (2) years. Thereafter, they are eligible for $60 (P3000 for Philippine Universities) renewal fee every three (3) years.

Non-active institutions can still renew their membership for $100 (P5000 for Philippine Universities) valid for the next two years. Thereafter, they can renew membership for $100 (P5000 for Philippine Universities) every three (3) years.
