MAJOR HIGHLIGHTS OF THE COURSE
This online course is offered to intermediate and advanced educators from basic to higher education. It aims to equip the learners with the necessary critical understanding of student engagement, technology-based lessons and flexible teaching and learning pedagogies. It also aims to guide and help learners in conceptualizing effective teaching strategies to improve student engagement in the class. It provides literature and studies that are reliable bases for comprehensive discussions of the topic.
Learning Outcomes
The training course expects students to:
- identify the positive and negative effects of remote online learning;
- identify strategies to improve student engagement in a flexible learning environment;
- evaluate open distance learning, online distance blended learning and mobile online blended learning; and
- evaluate the effect of mediamorphosis on students learning quest and rethink ways to cushion the online learning impact.

Course contents
This course is divided into two main topics: (1) pre and post pandemic narratives on remote online learning and (2) humanizing technology-based lessons. The first video lecture sets the setting for student engagement in a flexible learning environment through research-based narratives. The second video lecture provides powerful strategies in humanizing the technology-based lessons applicable to the flexible learning environment.
Assessment and Feedback
At the end of each video lecture, there is an assessment in the form of quiz, essay or practical application depending on the nature of the topic. While some topics require lower order thinking skills, learners are also given higher order thinking skill activities in the form of scenario-based questions or practical applications. You should get correct answers of 50% or higher in each assessment to pass the course. The details of each assessment are provided in the assessment guidelines.

You can evaluate the different aspects of this online course. The evaluation form is available at the end of the course. You are expected to provide honest assessment of you course experience.
How to register?

Sign in to the Moodle and start with your ONLINE LEARNING experience! Ensure that you complete the required sections of the course especially the assessments at the end of each lecture. Once you have completed the online course, you will instantly unlock and download the TWO e-certificates.
