Dr. Nikka Mae J. Adling is a full-time faculty member and currently an Instructor III at Marinduque State University (MarSU) (former Marinduque State College). She graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in English in 2017 and a Master of Arts in Education major in Language Teaching (English) in 2021, both from MarSU. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy in English Language and Literature at La Consolacion University Philippines in April 2024. She also pursued her degree in Juris Doctor at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation with 9 units earned. She serves as the Head of the Student Publication under the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services (OVPSAS) since 2023 to present and extends her technical expertise as language editor and copy editor for both undergraduate and graduate theses since 2018. She has attended various training, presented papers from local to international conferences, and published journal articles in line with educational technology, linguistics, language, and literature education. Her research interests include language teaching, educational technology, discourse analysis, lexicography, language acquisition, and literary analysis. In line with her advocacies, she served as the Gender and Development (GAD) Coordinator at MarSU from 2021 to 2024 where she played a pivotal role in organizing and facilitating various GAD projects and activities. Beyond her academic responsibilities, she is deeply involved in civic engagements and volunteerism, further expanding her advocacy work.
