Dr. Lea Ann is a passionate educator and certified research specialist currently serving as the Faculty Research Specialist at the University of the Visayas. She holds a Master’s degree from Cebu Normal University and is pursuing her Ph.D. in Research Management and Development at the University of the Visayas. With a strong foundation in both theory and practice, she supports faculty members in conducting impactful research and guides their professional development, especially those undertaking postgraduate studies. As a licensed professional teacher and TESOL-certified educator, her interests span educational reform, gender and development, English language teaching, and the social sciences.
Dr. Lea Ann has presented her research in numerous local and international conferences. Her most notable projects include capacity-building initiatives for faculty researchers, the development of a utility model to support farmers’ livelihood, and a series of sustainable “green acts” within educational and community settings. Beyond her institutional responsibilities, she is a proud advocate for young researchers in academia—mentoring emerging scholars to develop their voice, embrace inquiry, and contribute meaningfully to their fields. For Lea Ann, research is more than a task—it’s a powerful tool for transformation and empowerment.
