Teachers’ Technical Skills and Competence in Job- Related Information Communication Technology Applications

This descriptive correlation survey study among 74 randomly selected Grades Four to Six teachers in Hamtic North District in Hamtic, Antique, for school year 2021-2022, assessed the Information Communication Technology (ICT) technical skills and competence of the teachers conducted from July to September 2022. Employing a researcher-made checklist duly validated and pilot tested based on the National Information and Communications Technology Competency Standards NICS-Basic of the Commission of Information and Communication Technology, readings and shared by the District ICT coordinator. Results of the present study showed that the teachers have outstanding level of ICT technical skills and competence in job-related ICT applications. Further, a positive high correlation among ICT technical skills and competence in job-related ICT applications was also noted in the present study. An enhancement program was advanced by the researcher.
