Professional Background
Dr. Eltimar T. Castro Jr. holds a Doctorate in Information Technology from the Technological Institute of the Philippines and is a renowned researcher in the fields of data science and analytics. He serves as the Director of the Innovation, Data Empowerment, and Analytics (IDEA) Center at Father Saturnino Urios University (FSUU), where he spearheads data-driven innovation and research projects. Project Leader for multiple research and development initiatives, including those funded by the Department of Science and Technology –Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD). His published research, indexed in Scopus, demonstrates his scholarly impact, and he has been recognized for his work, earning the Best Paper Award at an international IEEE conference. In addition to his leadership roles, he serves as the Coordinator of the FSUU Data Science and Analytics Center. Associate Member of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Analytics Association of the Philippines, further cementing his influence in the fields of data science, analytics, and emerging technologies.
