Conference Acceptance
This conference uses editorial review to evaluate and review articles submitted for presentation consideration in the conference. There are two editors assigned to evaluate the merit of the paper. Each reviewer rates the paper according to: relevance to the conference track; originality of the research; empirical evidence; appropriate methodology; and appropriate structure. Each criterion can be rated with 4 (Excellent) as the highest and 1 (Needs Improvement) as the lowest. The paper needs at least 2.6 average score in the five key areas without a rating of 1 in any area to be accepted in the conference.
Average Score of 2.6 and above. The decision is "Accept Submission" and the author will receive "Notice of Conference Acceptance."
Average Score between 2.0 to 2.6. The decision is "Resubmit for Review." The author needs to address the critical comments given by the reviewers and eligible for resubmission for second review round.
Average Score below 2.0. The decision is "Decline Submission."
Rating of 1 in any criterion. The decision is automatic "Resubmit for Review." The author needs to address the critical comments given by the reviewers and eligible for resubmission for second review round.
Book of Abstract
All accepted and registered paper abstracts will be published in the ICMEI Book of Abstract [ISSN: 3028-2209 (Print) • 3028-2195 (Online)]. The printed and online publications contain the paper abstract and the profile of the presenter. The publication is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0), which grants anyone to reproduce, redistribute and transform, commercially or non-commercially, with proper attribution. Authors retain the copyright but grant the journal the right to the first publication. Authors can use any contents of the article provided there is proper acknowledgement. Conference Proceedings
Management, Education & Innovation Review is the official proceedings journal of the International Conference on Management, Education & Innovation (ICMEI). Publication in the proceedings journal is free and optional to all accepted and registered papers. The proceedings journal has its own publication process and policies separate and distinct from ICMEI. The proceedings journal publishes open access articles under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, which grants anyone to reproduce, redistribute and transform, commercially or non-commercially, with proper attribution.
Conference Awards
There are four (4) awards per track: Most Outstanding Research (selected from the submitted full manuscript), Outstanding Research (selected during the actual presentation), Best Presentation and Best Presenter. The winners are chosen by the chairs and selected members of the board based on the following criteria:

For Authors
a. Before the Conference
i. Type of Submission
Submission to the conference can be: a) paper abstract; b) extended abstract; or c) full paper. Papers are evaluated for fitness to the conference track and readiness for publication either in the book of abstract or online conference proceedings publication.
Paper abstract. Author can submit the abstract of article for conference presentation consideration if the research is still ongoing. However, the evaluators may decline the submission due to incomplete empirical evidence in the abstract. As soon as the paper is completed, the author updates the abstract prior to the printing of the book of abstract.
Extended abstract. Author can submit the extended abstract of the paper for evaluation and review. The author ensures that it provides sufficient empirical evidence to help reviewers evaluate the merit of the paper.
Full paper. Author can submit the completed research papers for evaluation and review. The reviewers might give detailed feedback which can be incorporated to improve the paper before submission to the proceedings journal.
Article Types. The conference accepts any topic within its scope and coverage, which may include original research, literature review/ review articles, or case studies. The submitted article needs to have strong empirical evidence and make significant contribution to the field. It should have strong theoretical and/or methodological literature. The submission is an original article, not have been nor considered for publishing elsewhere. If it is a republication, the author must obtain permission to republish the same. The author must obtain permission for any used copyrighted materials within the article.
This conference only accepts articles in English. It is the prime responsibility of the author to ensure that the paper’s quality is highly acceptable as to use of language, grammar and punctuations. Any use of discriminatory and bigoted terms are not acceptable.
Article Structure. The manuscript must include pertinent information of the author/s including name/s, affiliation/s, address and email address. The corresponding author, in case of multiple authors, must be properly indicated.
The total word count of full paper should be 6,000 to 8,000 words including references, extended abstract should be 3000 to 5000 words including references, abstract should be 150 to 250 words.
The structure of the manuscript includes:
- Title – appropriate title to your article.
- Abstract – the number of words should not be less than 150 but not more than 250.
- Key words – a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 6 keywords.
- Main body – it should contain the following:
- Introduction
- Literature Review
- Methodology
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgement/Any declaration
- References
ii. Online Submission
The online submission requires only MS Word file. Ensure to follow the proper template to avoide early rejection of the paper.
a. For Abstract only submission. You need to upload title page without author name. This is used for review purposes only.
b. For Extended Abstract submission. You need to upload two files:
Anonymous extended abstract. This file is used for the review process. This must not contain any information related to the identity of the author/s.
Title page. This file should contain the title of the article, name and affiliation of the author/s, abstract and key words.
c. For Full Paper submission. You need to upload two files:
Anonymous file. This file is used for review process. This full manuscript must not include the name and affiliation of the author/s and any other information related to the identity of the author/s.
Title page. This file should contain the title of the article, name and affiliation of the author/s, abstract and key words.

The files must be uploaded through the online submission portal. Your paper will be assigned Submission ID Number which you will use for all the communications related to the publication. Upon submission, you will receive submission confirmation acknowledgement approximately within 24 hours. If the editor found your paper not within the conference scope or not within the prescribed format, your submission may receive an early manuscript rejection decision.
iii. Payment & Registration
At least one author must pay the conference registration fee for the paper to be officially registered and included in the conference. Details about the conference fees are available here. Methods of payment and submission of proof of payment are available here.
After the payment of conference fees, the corresponding author completes the official conference registration form.
b. During the Conference
i. Presentation Guidelines and Decorum
Punctuality. Presenters are expected to be at the venue (onsite or online) before the start of the session. The online meeting shall be opened 30 minutes before the scheduled session.
Presentation order. The presentation is arranged according to the conference tracks. Each track is given designated timing. Presenters are requested to join the track their papers belong to. Presenters receive a detailed conference program with the corresponding schedule.
Presentation timing. Each presenter is given a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 10 minutes. The track chair moderates the session and alerts the presenter of the time limit. For the smooth flow of the session, the ‘Question and Answer’ is to be conducted after the last session presenter. Participants are encouraged to give constructive questions.
Mode of Presentation. Presenters are required to use PowerPoint presentation or any other mode of visual presentation available. However, pre-recorded video presentation is also encouraged for online participants experiencing internet connection difficulties. Each presenter must ensure that the presentation is shareable using Zoom. A screen control is given to each presenter during the presentation.
Netiquette. Participants are requested to use complete first and last name in their Zoom account for easy recognition. All participants are expected to follow proper network etiquette. The conference organizers have all the rights to drop any participants from the session in case of any misbehavior.
ii. Document Submission
Microsoft Powerpoint. The author needs to submit the research paper presentation with lecture notes in Microsoft Powerpoint. The lecture note or explanation is a must for slides containing excerpts, tables, diagrams, photos and figures. The submission is required prior to the issuance of the CPD certificate.
Online Proceedings Publication. The individual extended abstract is also available online. The full issue of the online proceedings will be available through website and Google Books approximately one week after the conference. Late submission or corrections can still be considered in this stage.
Video Presentation for Online Participants. Should an online participant decides to pre-record a presentation, the video or link to the video should be with the conference committee at least a week before the conference. Any changes in the manner of presentation should be communicated to the committee or session chair before the conference.
c. After the Conference
i. Issuance of the Certificate
Registered participants receive the following certificates:
Certificate of Presentation/Participation. The onsite participants receive the hard copy of the Certificate of Presentation (for presenters) and Certificate of Participation (co-authors and listeners) during the conference. Meanwhile, online participants receive the e-certificate of presentation (for presenters) and participation (co-authors and listeners) via the corresponding author's email address right after the conference.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Certificate. The registered participants receive the CPD e-certificate via their email address within 28 days after the conference. The issuance of the certificate requires the submission of the Microsoft Powerpoint presentation to The CPD Certification Services, United Kingdom.
Certificate of Publication. Corresponding authors receive e-Certificate of Publication from the Industry and Academic Research Review as soon as the paper is published online. Corresponding author receives the final draft of the paper for confirmation before the online publication. All communications and release of e-certificates are through the corresponding author's email address.
ii. Submission of Paper for Proceedings Journal Publication
If the author intends to publish the full paper, the manuscript in proper format must be submitted to Management, Education & Innovation Review, the official proceedings journal of ICMEI. While the publication is free, the journal implements its own policies and procedures. Hence, author needs to comply with the structural requirements.
