This study determined the best practices, challenges and the coping mechanism of kindergarten teachers. The quantitative and qualitative research designs were employed in this study while total enumeration was used in the quantitative aspect of the study through the use of questionnaire. Meanwhile, due to a big number of kindergarten teachers in the district, the inclusion criteria was used in selecting the seven teacher-participants for the qualitative aspect of this study through interview. This study was conducted in the District of San Remigio in the Schools Division of Antique. Many challenges confront kindergarten teachers especially in the aspect of classroom management, individual differences of learners, development and crafting of varied and diverse materials, keeping their patience, and investing in and using modern technology. Teachers are able to cope with challenges pertaining to kindergarten teaching by embracing the child as part of the family, strengthening their classroom management skills through innovative schemes and acknowledging continuous professional growth and development as effective means to update their teaching skills and competence. Nevertheless, teachers are able to establish several best practices that have greatly improved and strengthened kindergarten teaching in their respective schools.
