The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the Peer-Assisted Reading Technique (PART) in improving the reading comprehension of Grade 4 pupils in an elementary school in the District of Ibajay West, Division of Aklan for the School Year 2023-2024. The research involved 14 Grade 4 pupils acting as peer tutors (little teachers) and 14 designated as peer pupils (little pupils). An experimental method using the pretest-posttest single design was utilized in this study. The pre-test showed that Grade 4 pupils had a developing level of reading comprehension skills. To address this, an intervention in the form of the Peer-Assisted Reading Technique (PART): A Reading Comprehension Remediation Tool was introduced. After the intervention, the post-test revealed a substantial improvement in the pupils' reading comprehension skills, with a mean score gain of 15.64, indicating an advanced level of proficiency. As a result of the study, a Learning Activity Sheet (LAS) was developed to enhance the pupils’ reading comprehension and engage them in an in-depth exploration of characters and themes within a selected text. Overall, the research provides a valuable tool for improving comprehension skills and instilling a passion for reading among learners.
