This study aimed to determine the perspective of grade 8 students in choosing their Technical Vocational Education (TVE) course as basis for the development of a career guidance program to help those struggling students choose the right TVE depending on their interest. This study used the narrative analysis, a cluster of analytic methods for interpreting texts or visual data that have a storied form. The researcher conducted face-to-face interview wherein the participants were encouraged to talk freely and to tell stories using their words. Results revealed that the following themes are the perspective of the grade 8 students towards their choices: personal aspiration, shared reasons on choosing their TVE course choice, family influence and teacher influence. The factors that influence the course choice of the grade 8 students are peer Influence, inspired by the family and inspired by the teacher, and personal choice. The findings further showed that most of them viewed their TVE course as stepping stone to the future career they will take. All of the students stated that they were the ones who chose the TVE course where they are enrolled now based on their personal experience. Hence, the correct career guidance program would be a great help for other students in choosing a program based on their interest.
