Aye Mya Mon is currently working as a lecturer at the School of Liberal Arts of the Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai, Thailand. From September, 2023 to September, 2024, as a lead researcher, she voluntarily participated in Community-based Health Project activities organised by MRCS-UNOPS/GF in Southern Shan State, Myanmar. For over a decade, she has worked as a lecturer at various institutes located in Yangon, Myanmar. From 2012 to 2018, she specialised in English Language and Literature as an undergraduate at the East Yangon University and Yangon University of Distance Education (MM), and later in English Language Teaching and Teaching English as Speakers of Other Languages as a postgraduate at the University of Yangon (MM) and London Teacher Training College (UK), where she improved her skills in narrative deconstruction, and practiced traditional modes of discourse, in-depth analysis on the etymology of language and identity in cultural contexts. Her minor in History supported her appreciation of the insights into human progression, ethnological diversity, and cultural development in globalisation. Her master’s thesis at the University of Northampton (UK) partly focused on the social influence on humans’ decision-making processes in the spectrum of human and organisational behaviour, cultural perspectives, and globalisation. Additionally, through her professional and voluntary experiences in education, she learned to adapt to diversity in cross-cultural circumstances. This multidisciplinary background bolsters her confidence in embarking on her research.
