Ariel B. Mabansag

Dr. Ariel B. Mabansag is an Associate Professor V and Program Chairperson of the Bachelor of Secondary Education at the College of Education, Samar State University, Catbalogan City, Samar, Philippines. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Education from Negros Oriental State University, following a Master in Education major in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science from the University of the Philippines in the Visayas. With over a decade of experience in higher education, Dr. Mabansag has established himself as a passionate educator and researcher in mathematics education, data analytics, and quantitative modeling. His research interests encompass mathematics pedagogy, educational measurement and evaluation, and the application of statistical and computational methods in education and environmental sciences. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in international journals, such as the International Journal of Scientific and Research Publications and the Interdisciplinary Research Review. His scholarly works explore error analysis in mathematics problem-solving, PISA-based performance modeling, and socio-environmental systems analysis. Dr. Mabansag has presented his research at international conferences across Asia, including Vietnam, Dubai, and the Philippines. His professional achievements include multiple awards such as Best Oral Presenter (ICSIT 2025), Best Paper in Education (IRICEEA 2024), Most Outstanding Educator in the Field of Research (2024), Best Oral Presenter (IPovCon 2020), and the Distinctive Leadership in Education Excellence Asia Award (2023). He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Philippine Society for Mathematical Biology, Mathematics Society of the Philippines, Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines (MTAP-TL), and the Asian Qualitative Researchers Association.
