Professional Background
Bernardo N. Caslib, Jr. is an Assistant Professor of Ethics and Philosophy at the University of the Philippines Manila. He finished his B.A. (magna cum laude), M.A., and Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of the Philippines Diliman. He attended a summer school on Thomas Aquinas’ Ethical theory at the Aquinas Institute, Dublin, Ireland. His research interests are in the fields of ethics, applied ethics, bioethics, and philosophy of education (moral education). He was DepEd NCR’s trainer of teachers for the teaching of Philosophy of the Human Person and CHED’s national trainer of trainers for the teaching of Ethics as a general education course. He is the managing editor of Ateneo de Manila University’s international and peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal of philosophy, Budhi. His articles are published in national and international journals.
