Cherry Mae R. Teodosio is connected with Aklan State University College of Industrial Technology teaching Social Science subjects. She has been in the teaching profession for almost twenty years now.
She took undergraduate studies at the University of the Philippines and took up Doctorate degree in Social Science at the West Visayas State University in Iloilo City. She is an active researcher of the university and was able to submit and present researches locally and internationally.
Her research interests are mostly about gender, women empowerment, culture and social problems, mostly where the youth are concerned. The research entitled: “Ru Hongaw sa Libacao: A Critical Analysis on Gender Equality” won Best Paper in an International Research Convention held in Davao City in 2016 sponsored by CAPEU (Consortium of Asia Pacific and Universities) in cooperation with Philippine Normal University Mindanao. Moreover, her recent research endeavor was an international research presentation sponsored by APCORE (Asia Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators) in December of 2021, where the paper: “Talibong: A Material Culture Study” was a finalist for Best Paper. The same research paper was presented in the international research convention sponsored by UGAT (Ugnayang Pang-Aghamtao).
She is a former advisor of the Aklan Tradesman- the official school paper of Aklan State University College of Industrial Technology and Chair, Training Services Unit ASU-CIT.
