Professional Background
Dr. Christian Angelo B. Ituriaga is a forward-thinking leader and educator in the field of hospitality and business management, blending academic excellence with hands-on industry expertise. He currently holds dual leadership roles as the Degree Program Chair for the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts, and Program Chair for the Master of Science in Hospitality Management at La Consolacion College Bacolod. With a diverse professional background that spans hotel operations, human resources, and corporate customer service, Dr. Ituriaga has served in key positions at Royal Amrei Hotel, Palmas del Mar Conference Resort Hotel, La Consolacion College Pasig, and Teleperformance. His experience allows him to bridge the gap between theory and practice, equipping students with real-world skills and insights. He earned his Doctor of Business Administration from La Consolacion College Bacolod, complemented by an MBA from the University of St. La Salle and a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management.
Dr. Ituriaga is also an accomplished researcher and international academic contributor. He has presented award-winning papers and delivered keynote addresses at prestigious conferences in Qatar, Indonesia, and Thailand, solidifying his presence in the global academic arena. He also serves as a visiting lecturer at Mahasaraswati University in Bali, Indonesia, and has participated in international benchmarking and immersion programs that further underscore his commitment to innovation and global collaboration in hospitality education. In addition to his academic leadership, he has actively coached student teams in national and regional competitions in fruit and vegetable carving and hotel product advertisement, helping mold future leaders in the industry. He is also a national certificate holder in Tourism Promotion Services and Events Management Services, demonstrating his commitment to industry-aligned education. A passionate advocate for academic leadership and collaboration, he currently serves as Vice President of the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Educators of the Philippines (COHREP) – Negros Island and Siquijor Chapter.
