Jayson F. Permangil, PhD, is an educator and researcher with specialization in English language teaching and applied linguistics. He holds a degree in Doctor of Philosophy in Education, majoring in Applied Linguistics from the University of the Immaculate Conception, where he also earned Master of Arts in Education in English. He graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education in English at Kapalong College of Agriculture, Sciences, and Technology. Currently, he serves as a full-time college English instructor at Kapalong College of Agriculture, Sciences, and Technology (KCAST). His professional contributions include teaching English major subjects, guiding research in education, and serving as a panelist, adviser, analyst and editor for the institution across multiple disciplines. His commitment to academic excellence is further demonstrated through his institutional research endeavors and peer review activities for esteemed journals. As an active scholar, he has published multiple studies in international journals, which include topics on the English language learning motivation of indigenous students, educational aspirations of middle-aged learners, and juvenile delinquency. A licensed teacher and member of professional organizations such as PAFTE and SPELL, he continues to inspire and mentor future educators, which significantly contributes to the advancement of English language education and teacher training in the Philippines.
