Dr. Roland is a professor, researcher and administrator. He is an associate professor and the campus director of Southern Luzon State University, Lucena Campus in the Philippines. He is also an accreditor of Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) and a convenor of the Philippine Advanced Technological Research and Development for Internet of Things (PATRIoT) consortium. He graduated at AMA Computer University in the Philippines with a Doctor of Information Technology degree.
His expertise in developmental research utilizing the technology advancement recognized him deeply as lecturer in microcontroller (MCU) and Internet of Things (IoT) technology in different universities in the Philippines. His focused is widen through data mining, MCU in agriculture and mobile technology. He was chosen as Research and Development consultant of Robotics in Quezon, Philippines. He has authored a number of researches which were presented in international and national conferences as well as published in international journals.
