Dr. Zanariah Binti Jano obtained a Ph.D. in Multimedia Interactive Systems from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), a Master’s degree in Communication Studies (IT) from the University of Brighton, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Winnipeg, Canada. Her career began as a language teacher at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is currently the Coordinator of the MSc in Technical Communication Program at the Institute of Technology Management and Entrepreneurship, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, and has previously held several administrative positions, including Head of Department (2015–2016) and Deputy Dean of Research. She is an active supervisor and researcher, and also serves as a consultant for various problem-based learning initiatives with the Leadership Academy of Higher Education Malaysia (AKEPT) and other organizations. Her research interests include problem-based learning, multimedia and culture, web communication, and cross-cultural web design. Additionally, she serves on the editorial boards of one Indonesian journal and two UTeM journals.
Dr. Zanariah conducts Research Methodology classes for graduate students, as well as English Theater, Critical and Creative Thinking Skills, and I-Creative courses for undergraduates. Her areas of specialization and training include NLP Coaching, Leadership, Problem-Based Learning and Team Dynamics, Writing for High-Impact Journals, Editing and Proofreading Scientific Papers, Conversational English, English for Workplace Communication, Proficiency English, English for Hospitality Purposes, Business English, English Boot Camp, and TOEFL/IELTS preparation.
