With over 20 years of experience in hotel management and strategic consulting for major enterprises in the hospitality industry, Mr. Duc Tri has dedicated nearly 15 years to academia, teaching at numerous universities and colleges in Da Nang. He joined FPT University five years ago, coinciding with the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, which marked the beginning of his full-time return to the lecture hall to share his expertise with young professionals.

Transitioning from the high-paced environment of 5-star hotels to teaching has provided Mr. Tri with a completely different and rewarding experience. In the classroom, he engages with dynamic, creative, and enthusiastic students, applying his two decades of practical experience to offer them a realistic perspective on the tourism and hotel industry.

His time at FPT University has reshaped his approach to teaching, allowing him to form lasting connections with his students and remember their names and personalities due to their energy and enthusiasm. Mr. Tri is known for his storytelling approach in teaching, dedicating roughly half of his class time to sharing real-life management experiences from 4- and 5-star hotels.

He emphasizes the unique nature of careers in tourism and hospitality, sharing lessons that are both entertaining and insightful. His guidance to aspiring professionals highlights the importance of flexibility, professional behavior, and a consistently friendly attitude toward customers, embodying the true spirit of hospitality.
