This study sought to determine the acceptability of the LGBTQ+ community and religious vocation inclusivity among the selected residents in the City of San Pablo, Laguna by identifying the respondents’ socio-demographic information, perceived level of acceptance of the LGBTQ+, and factors affecting LGBTQ+ acceptability. Majority of the respondents were generally accepting LGBTQ+ members based on three thematic areas identified in the study such as religious vocation is a call for everyone, LGBTQ+ expressions of religiosity and LGBTQ+ members as church leaders. Twenty respondents were interviewed via Google meet. Data gathered were analyzed using descriptive, statistical, and narrative analyses. Results showed that the respondents were generally accepting of THE LGBTQ+ community towards religious vocation inclusivity. The study presented the areas of development that the LGBTQ community and religious institutions should focus on communicating to further improve the welfare of the LGBTQ community in the realm of religious vocation inclusivity. Thus, the study recommends to establish a frequent contact with LGBTQ individuals. It is also suggested to have an educational drive and discussions with religious organizations. Future studies may be done using large sample sizes could explore including the perspective of the religious persons such as pastor, nuns and priest.
