Book Project
As part of its mission for quality publications, the Institute continuously accepts submissions from potential book authors. Until the right author is found for the book, the submission remains open.
What is book project?
The Institute launched the book project in 2022 as part of its corporate social responsibility in support to potential book authors without financial capability. Titles under the book project are published for FREE.
Every quarter, the Institute launches at least one book title for authorship or contributorship. This could include monograph or edited collection. The internal reviewers look for the appropriate book content and author based on the submissions.
How to be part of the book project?
Potential authors are encouraged to submit their proposal for the book under call for authorship or submit article for titles under call for submission.
Call for authorship does not require completed manuscript. However, upon acceptance the author commits to complete the book on time. Proposals are expected to be innovative and bold to be accepted. Multiple authors are allowed.
Call for submission as book chapter requires author to submit completed article or manuscript. Each book has different structural and content requirements. Authors should strictly follow the prescribed formats and contents for each book.
Can I submit for titles not in the book project?
Authors can submit book proposal or manuscript for any titles. However, only titles under book project are published for FREE. Book Processing Charge (BPC) applies to all submissions other than titles under the book project.
Submission under Book Project
ALL submissions, whether under book project or not, follow the same publication process. The only difference is the non-payment of fees of titles under the book project.
Before submission, the author ensures that the proper templates are used. As the institute adheres to double-blind evaluation and review, the author uploads two files: manuscript title page and anonymous manuscript file.
ALL submissions are through the online portal. No submissions are accepted through email.
a. Book Proposal
The online submission requires only MS Word file. There are two stages of submission.
First stage. The author submits the proposal through the online submission. The proposal must contain the general information about the book, book outline and any completed chapter. The author uploads two files: manuscript title page and anonymous manuscript file. The submission goes to internal review process, which results to either acceptance or rejection of the book. If the proposal is rejected, the author receives detailed feedback through email.
Second stage. If the proposal is accepted, the author receives detailed feedback and suggestions from the reviewers. The author is given ample time to complete the manuscript for resubmission.
Last stage. The author submits the completed manuscript for external review. If the manuscript is accepted, the author signs the book publishing agreement. However, if the manuscript requires further revision after the resubmission, the editorial board provides further revisions request through email or through discussion forum in the portal.
b. Book Chapter
Authors need to submit the MS Word manuscript through the online submission. The author uploads two files: manuscript title page and anonymous manuscript file. The format of the manuscript depends on the need and requirement of the book. The author ensures to read and follow the prescribed structure for the chapter. The submission is an original article, not have been nor considered for publishing elsewhere. If it is a republication, the author must obtain permission to republish the same. The author must obtain permission for any used copyrighted materials within the article.
