Evaluation and Review
The publisher recruits external experts composed of university professors and industry practitioners to assist in the evaluation and review of the books. They are selected based on their qualification and specialization.
All submitted books, book proposals and book chapter are evaluated by internal reviewers composed of the publication director and two editors for suitability to the thrust of the institute or content requirements of the book. The decision is any of the following: accept, revision or reject. If the manuscript is accepted, it is sent to the external reviewers for detailed evaluation. If the manuscript requires revision, the comments and suggestions are communicated to the author. The author revises the manuscript and submits the revised version before sending to the external reviewers. If the manuscript is rejected, the author receives the detailed reason/s for rejection. The decision to accept or reject the book is communicated to the author through email.
Upon acceptance of the internal reviewers, the manuscript is sent to two external reviewers. The publisher reserves the right to choose the appropriate reviewer based on their knowledge of the topic. The decision to accept with or without revision is communicated to the author through email. If the manuscript is accepted without revision, the author pays book processing charge (if applicable) and signs the book publishing agreement.
Any accepted manuscript with revisions is sent back to the author for corrections. The author is given ample time to comply depending on the severity of the corrections. If the time given is insufficient, the author is advised to formally request extension through email. The author then submits the corrected manuscript for final evaluation by the editorial team. If the manuscript is accepted, the author pays book processing charge (if applicable) and signs the book publishing agreement. However, if the manuscript requires further revision after the resubmission, the editorial board provides further revisions request through email or through discussion forum in the portal.
The entire evaluation and review process take minimum two months to maximum of four months. However, it is highly dependent on various uncontrollable circumstances.
