This study was aimed to determine the learners’ competencies and its impact to the financial literacy skills and practices among the third-year students of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy of Laguna State Polytechnic University - San Pablo City Campus. A survey was done that involved 217 students. The questionnaire intended to measure the learners’ competencies in relation to their financial literacy skills and practices. This research also looked into the relationship between variables which are profile of the respondents and financial literacy skills and practices. It also examined if there is significant relationship between learners’ competencies and financial literacy skills and practices. The researcher used self-made questionnaire and was limited to determination on the perception of the respondents on the variables used. The collected data were tailed, tabulated and treated statistically. The study revealed that third-year students’ competencies are good when it comes to thinking critically and communication. Moreover, the results showed that students are also good in money management, saving plan, and knowledgeable in investing in the future. Based on the findings of the study, it was found out that that there is no significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and their financial literacy skills and practices while there is a positive relationship between learners’ competencies and financial literacy skills and practices.
