DR. ANNALYN JAWILI-DECENA is an Associate Professor and a regular faculty member both in the undergraduate and graduate programs in the College of Education, Marinduque State University, Marinduque, Philippines. She earned her Bachelor of Elementary Education degree from MarSU where she is serving since June 2000 to present. She obtained her Master in Early Childhood Education from Arellano University, Legarda, Manila, Philippines in 2007 and her Doctor of Philosophy in Reading Education from the Philippine Normal University (PNU), Taft Avenue, Manila, Philippines in 2016. She is also an adjunct Faculty for PNU-DepEd LiSQuP Program from 2021 to present. Dr. Decena is a Certified Accreditor and a member of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACUP). She engages herself in speakership, accreditation, online teaching, peer reviewing, research, research publication, and presentations in national and international conferences. Her research works deal with early literacy, early childhood education, reading difficulties, teaching pedagogies, and mother tongue-based instruction. She enjoys being an educator, a researcher, and a mom to her six lovely kids.
