Professional Background
Dr. Benkosi Madlela holds a PhD in Education and a Bachelor of Technology in Management. With more than 30 years of professional experience, Dr. Madlela has established himself as a lecturer, researcher, strategy developer, and corporate trainer, serving clients across both the public and private sectors.
Before joining the University of Johannesburg, Dr. Madlela served as the Head of the Department of Business and Information Resource Management (BIRM) at the Institute of Development Management (IDM) in Eswatini. Earlier in his career, he worked at CIT College as a lecturer, principal, and curriculum developer.
Dr. Madlela is actively engaged in research and regularly presents papers at international conferences. He has published numerous journal articles and book chapters, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in education and management. He also serves as a peer reviewer for several journals accredited by South Africa’s Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).
