The institute honors the 2022 International Luminary Awardees through an online awards ceremonies held on December 3, 2022. A total of 28 awardees were given recognition and honor by the ILA committee headed by board of director, Isabel Noreen R. Rairata and Julio Ramillo A. Mercurio, chair and co-chair, respectively. The committee bestowed the highest awards to Dr. Francisca T. Uy and Dr. Rebecca C. Sagot as grand winners of ILA in Leadership, Dr. Emmanuel J. Dotong as grand winner of ILA in Teaching, Ts. Dr. Hamizah Mokhtar as grand winner of ILA in Research and Nguyen Phan Phuong Thao as grand winner of the ILA in Academic Leadership.
The grand winners received plaque courtesy of Rotary Club of Lucena Central President Russel Gisalan, commemorative medal and certificate. All the awardees receive commemorative medal and certificate.
The International Luminary Award (ILA) is the organization’s recognition and celebration of inspirational success stories in teaching, research, leadership, civic works and academic leadership. It embodies IIARI’s commitment to the formulation of community of scholars driven by passion for life-long learning and community service. The ILA aims to honor the contribution of individuals in various fields that would serve as inspiration and influence for other people.
ILA is an annual recognition given to individuals from various parts of the world who have exemplary and inspiring contribution in the organization or the community through their profession, academic works, innovation and inventions, community service, inspired behavior and action and excellent academic performance in the school or university. It brings forth a venue for the inspirational success stories to emulate and spread.
For this year, there were 36 nominations received. However, some of the finalists failed to comply with the award requirements. The grand winners were selected by the 2021 ILA grand winners and select panel of jury.
